Global Managed Service – Identity and access Management – Senior
The Okta Provisioning Senior Consultant is a critical role responsible for overseeing and ensuring the effective management of user identities and access permissions within an organization using the Okta Identity Management platform. This senior-level position involves leading provisioning processes, developing strategies for integration and automation, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Requirements / Responsibilities:
- Lead the administration and management of user accounts, roles, and access rights within the Okta platform.
- Design and implement efficient user provisioning and de-provisioning workflows in collaboration with HR, IT, and security teams.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Okta authentication, authorization, SSO, and MFA solutions.
- Oversee the integration of new applications with Okta and ensure seamless SSO experiences across the organization.
- Develop and maintain IAM policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.
- Conduct regular access reviews and audits to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Provide advanced technical support and training to end-users and junior analysts regarding Okta functionalities and access management best practices.
- Drive identity governance initiatives and enhance role-based access control (RBAC) models.
- Recommend and implement improvements to IAM processes and the overall Okta environment.
- Stay informed about Okta updates, new features, and IAM industry trends to drive innovation within the organization.
- Develop and maintain documentation for processes, workflows, and configurations.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and IAM best practices.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders regarding identity management processes.
- Monitor and report on system performance, usage, and security issues.
Preferred Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in identity and access management, with a strong focus on Okta or similar IAM platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of IAM principles, SSO, MFA, directory services, and cloud identity management.
- Proven track record of managing complex user provisioning and de-provisioning scenarios.
- Familiarity with IT security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and experience mentoring junior staff.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Administrator, Okta Certified Consultant, Okta Certified Professional) are highly desirable
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Work Requirements:
- Willingness to travel as required
- Willingness to be on call support engineer and work occasional overtime as required
- Willingness to work in shifts as required
