Ensure our internal and external accounts/ledgers are properly reconciled and any outstanding items are identified and cleared on time
Provide support for inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders through investigations of internal banking systems, data generation and analysis
To generate auditor/client confirmations for their business transactions and account information with our bank
Ensure intercompany-related charges are properly allocated and processed in timely manner
Ensure bank’s systems and applications are properly used by users, provide technical/security administration (e.g. user creation/deletion, entitlement changes, frequent access/entitlement reviews)
Manage third-party vendor relations for those being used by GBO in Japan
Ensure proper governance over restricted accounts (e.g. dormant accounts)
Conduct screening using our bank’s systems/applications/database to ensure proper checks are completed are in line with bank/regulatory requirements
Work on data collation, preparation and submission of various required reports including internal management and non-financial regulatory reports
Support various tasks as deemed necessary by team manager / department head to ensure smooth operations of Global Banking Operations (GBO) locally and regionally
Skills:
Have a background working in the banking industry with good understanding of operational processes, local laws, rules and regulations, accounting, and products/services offered by banks to corporate and financial institutional clients
Have excellent problem solving and logical thinking skills
Must be highly motivated, proactive, quick learner and able to work independently, while being a team player
Must be detail-oriented and proactively show ownership/responsibility of team’s processes
Ability to communicate effectively (both written and spoken in English and Japanese) and to build strong working relations with teammates and key stakeholders
Must be well-organized including being able to manage time effectively
Have strong understanding of operational processes and risk control
General PC, Windows, and Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with non-financial regulatory reporting (NFRR) and technical background (security administration) would be preferable
