The COB & CM Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.Responsibilities:

  • The COB & CM Senior Analyst supports Citigroup's Continuity of Business (COB) organization within Global Operations & Technology Risk Management (OTRM).
  • The role of the Sr. Analyst is to conduct quality assurance (“QA”) reviews on Continuity of Business (COB) third party vendors across all Global Products/Functions (“Sectors”) and Regions by applying a risk-based methodology.
  • Produce requirements documentation in both written and diagrammatic form.
  • Data analysis and Excel modeling skills.
  • Business knowledge of documentation type and purpose.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Track record as a strong analyst – recognized as able to deliver work in pressured environments.
  • Hands on approach and able to manage own work load whilst taking direction.
  • Attention to detail and ability to discuss document and confirm process flows.
  • Sufficiently experienced to provide feedback for areas of improvement and realign strategy accordingly.
  • Collaborative approach, must be able to work closely with senior business sponsors and promote consensus decisions that are right for the organization.
  • Flexibility and Autonomy are essential as some travel and out of hours work may be required.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years Experience in Third Party/third party oversight, risk and relationship management.
  • Experience of technology project management, Data modeling and workflow mapping.
  • 2+ years experience working with internal/external audit/regulatory groups is preferred.
  • Advanced project management, data analysis and reporting ability; with a good understanding of supporting technologies (applications, reporting tools, and data presentation).

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

The COB & CM Manager provides full leadership and supervisory responsibility. Provides operational/service leadership and direction to team(s). Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. May contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within area of expertise. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Generally has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness of end results and shared responsibility for planning and budgets.

Responsibilities:

  • The COB & CM Manager supports the Continuity of Business Office.
  • Participate in and advance a wide array of business initiatives, as well as ensure the seamless functioning of the CoB organization.
  • Form trusting relationships with senior executives and influence across Citi’s various Sectors and Regions.
  • Partner with the CoB Program Management and Sector & Region Leads on the communication strategy and materials (e.g. town halls, VOE, committee meetings).
  • Provide program oversight of the CoB tactical and strategic deliverables ensuring quality, efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead and coordinate a wide range of activities at the direction of the CoB Head.
  • Partnering with the CoB leadership team to develop and maintain a calendar of activities.
  • Collaborate, plan and organize with and through people to gather information from across the organization and external committees to report and make business recommendations.
  • Facilitates a process to ensure that business continuity plans are viable, executable, implemented and tested.
  • Promotes business continuity awareness and education.
  • Identify gaps in performance and associated risks, recommend corrective actions and partner with stakeholders and management to develop Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years Banking or Financial Services Industry experience desirable
  • Excellent communication skills are required to document policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
  • Must be able to effectively interact with senior management and persuasiveness to solicit management and staff cooperation
  • Excellent computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
