Key job responsibilities
- Oversee the entire hardware development lifecycle from concept to production in the automation space, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Allocate resources effectively and manage risks proactively.
- Establish and maintain quality standards and procedures for hardware development.
- Develop and manage budgets for hardware development projects, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure that hardware products comply with relevant industry regulations, certifications, and safety standards.
- Demonstrated experience and success developing & deploying automation, robotics or mechatronics solutions over a global footprint
- Demonstrated management experience leading an engineering team of 25+ people
- A track record of growing, retaining & developing high performing engineering talent
- A history of influence at the senior leadership level to deliver advanced solutions and develop business priorities,
- Experience with regulatory compliance and certification processes (e.g., CE, UL).
- Expertise in implementing world-class engineering processes, tools & procedures
