In this role, this leader has several opportunities to create value and meaningful impact for the Commercial Business and Capital One, including:
Drive OpEx strategic insights and narratives
Architect a Centralized Expense framework, including an effective interaction model and efficient, well-managed processes
Partner with our Commercial Central and Revenue forecasting teams to develop a deep understanding of cost drivers of performance and identify opportunities to optimize returns
Present monthly financial reporting and variance explanations to executives to measure business performance
Develop annual budget / operating plans for the horizontal business units to shape Commercial’s short, medium, and long term financial trajectory
Develop business cases to drive investment analysis and decision making
Manage and develop associates
A successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem solving strategic thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively:
Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights
Partner with business leadership to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts to optimize the organization
Develop presentations and effective messaging to communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiences
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis
At least 3 years of experience with financial modeling
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
5+ years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
5+ years of experience in financial analysis and financial modeling
3+ years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
2+ years of people management experience managing both direct and indirect reports
1+ year of experience in Google’s G Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs, etc.)
