You will deploy best practice on forecasting, developing systematic tools and strategies in a fashion that positively influences other traders on the desk and to contribute to a positive culture on the desk and with the sales partners.
What you will do will be varied day to day, but the key drivers for the role are:
• Develop and enhance forecasting model using time series analysis as well as macroeconomic data.
• Build and maintain existing relative value tools used in day-to-day trading and risk management.
• Build a back-testing framework to standardise trading decision and risk management.
• Work in close partnership with other trading desk to extend market understanding and hedging accordingly.
• Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics.
• Demonstrate proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
• Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services.
• Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe.
What we will need from you:
• Background in mathematics, data science, time series analysis & machine learning.
• Previous experience in trading or similar analytical mission.
• Good communication skills and effective interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Very good coding skills (Python, R, VBA, SQL).
• Strong understand of Bloomberg, Haver Analytics & similar.
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
