Prime Air is seeking an experienced Engineer within the Product Support Organization team to drive deployment of hardware and software functionality within our perception system, investigate issues to drive delivery on a critical program across several different disciplines. This role requires strong troubleshooting capabilities, and ability to innovate in a constrained design space. Excellent communication skills are a must to build trust and drive alignment across both design and operations spaces. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, and operational functions across all Prime Air teams, to drive efficient delivery, and decompose ambiguous problems into straightforward solutions. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer focus, problem solving skills, regulatory understanding, and the ability to convert lessons learned to requirement update requests. You will work hard, have fun, and of course, make history!Key job responsibilities
- Strong background in computer vision, sensor fusion, or machine learning applications
- Drive the delivery of critical engineering feedback and design improvements for Prime Air drones and support systems across teams through requirement tracking, design, development and test.
- Own and drive triage of issues that occur in the field
- Work with other engineers to find innovative solutions within fixed design space

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Are enrolled in or have completed a Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of systems development experience
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Strong background in computer vision, sensor fusion, or machine learning applications
- Experience developing system architecture for perception systems in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or aerospace applications
