Your key responsibilities
- Investigate, reproduce, and resolve user-level defects in platform applications.
- Collaborate with Information Security teams during release cycles and security testing.
- Support release management activities and coordinate with EY technology groups.
- Assist in managing platform changes initiated by EY or external vendors.
- Contribute to hotfix pull requests (PRs) with appropriate test coverage.
- Debug application issues and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.
- Partner with the Platform Operations Lead Engineer to deploy releases and hotfixes.
- Serve as an escalation point during high-pressure incidents.
- Maintain alignment with engineering teams to ensure support readiness.
- Review and understand application code to assist in troubleshooting.
- Track progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
To qualify for this role, you must have
- A bachelor’s degree in technology, information systems, computer science, or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong hands-on technical skills equivalent to an Application Engineer.
- Demonstrated experience in debugging and resolving complex application issues.
- Familiarity with release management and deployment coordination.
- Ability to contribute to hotfix PRs and validate test cases.
- Experience supporting production environments and managing incident workflows.

- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges.
- Experience working in hybrid environments and collaborating across distributed teams.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, as needed.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $67,000 to $136,800. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $80,300 to $155,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
