Tax- Indirect Tax – Technology – Platform Application Engineer – Manager

We are seeking a Platform Application Engineer at the Manager level to lead the daily delivery and orchestration of platform applications. This role is pivotal in translating business requirements into technical solutions, mentoring development teams, and ensuring high-quality application delivery across multiple platforms.

Your key responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Orchestrate daily delivery pipelines by coordinating with developers and testers.
  • Remove technology roadblocks for developers and support issue resolution.
  • Manage multiple applications and ensure seamless integration with infrastructure.
  • Mentor onshore and offshore developers, drive code quality, and promote refactoring practices.
  • Convert incidents into backlog fixes and prioritize accordingly.
  • Serve as the first-level pull request reviewer and provide code insights.
  • Coordinate with Operations Lead Engineer to ensure infrastructure compatibility.
  • Engage with relevant business stakeholders from tax Subservice Lines (SSLs).
  • Be a customer success engineer and handle issues that arise from initial clients before support is transitioned to customer success team

To qualify for this role, you must have

  • A bachelor's degree in technology, information systems, or computer science, and minimum of 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience.
  • Approved certification
  • Previous experience as an Application Engineer with hands-on development in C# and .NET technologies.
  • Strong SQL and backend development skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret code to support developers.
  • Experience managing application delivery and coordinating across teams.

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $86,600 to $197,800. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $103,900 to $224,700. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
