As a Product Manager for the Vector Data Type at Snowflake, you will be at the forefront of building and integrating cutting-edge ML and AI technologies into our cloud data platform. This role involves leading the strategy, development, and execution of that leverages the power of LLMs to transform enterprises. You will work closely with a cross-functional team including engineers, data scientists, marketers, and sales professionals to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
AS A PRODUCT MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:- Define and execute the product roadmap for AI/ML features at Snowflake in Snowflake, with a focus on the applications of the vector data type and associated vector functions in big data
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand the largest market opportunities in the AI/ML space for the native vector data type and adjacent linear algebra operations in Snowflake, including use-cases like financial data analysis, recommendation systems, clustering/classification, and more
- Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to guide product development, from conception to launch, with a strong focus on the price-performance of the product
- Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies and support sales enablement for data scientists and ML engineers
- Measure and analyze product performance, using data to inform future product decisions and improvements.
- Work closely with customers to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into product design and features.
OUR IDEAL PRODUCT MANAGER WILL HAVE:- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in product management, ideally with a focus on data science, machine learning / AI, search, or related technologies
- A strong self-starter attitude, with experience working independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Familiarity with the applications of vector and matrix operations in scientific computing use-cases, e.g., quantitative research, backtesting, recommendation systems, clustering / classification
- Good understanding of databases, SQL concepts & language, and/or distributed systems
- Experience in conducting market research and performing customer discovery, with ability to translate customer into a concise product roadmap
- Strong data manipulation and analysis skills, including SQL and Python, to independently drive product analysis
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:
- The estimated base salary range for this role is $154,000 - $224,200.
- Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.
