Summary:Reporting to the Logistics Manager the Warehouse Supervisor hasresponsibility for supporting production requirements across business units with respect to the management and co-ordination of raw materials, finished product and supporting documentation in line with documentation procedures. responsibility for day-to-day operation of West Dublin warehouse facility and ensuring that the warehouse is always well organized, clean, and tidy at all times for internal/external audits/visits. This role carries responsibility for the management of a team of warehouse operators.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience in Warehouse management in a High Tech / High Volume industry preferably with the plastics, medical device, or highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Preferably have a formal Logistics or Supply Chain Management qualification.
- Must have experience of managing a team.
- Must have the ability to coordinate and support the training and development of the Warehouse Team.
- Must have strong knowledge and practical experience of Warehousing and inventory control systems and be computer literate.
- Must understand the principles of batch control, JIT manufacturing, stock turns, FIFO, etc.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Must be able to organize and prioritise tasks and be detail orientated and self-motivated.
- Must be able to deal with all levels of employees and work across various departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Logistics Manager, lead and manage a high performing team to deliver the defined business goals & objectives.
- Responsible for the management and smooth operation of all daily warehousing functions within West Dublin, including but not limited to:
- Receiving and inspection of incoming goods, materials, and other equipment.
- Safe and secure storage of goods, materials, and other equipment.
- Cycle counting, inventory transaction accuracy, warehousing labelling/Id. and discrepancy resolution.
- Safe operation of all Forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Material issue and movement to and from production on FIFO basis and in a timely manner.
- Daily warehouse interfacing with freight carriers.
- Picking and shipment of goods, materials, and other equipment.
- All Warehouse assigned transactions and documentation.
- Kanban operation for consumables.
- Audit readiness and performance reporting.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining a high standard of Health and Safety with a key focus on Behavioural Based Safety.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining a high standard of housekeeping in line with the industry standard.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining a high standard of quality and ensuring the integrity of our product to our customer.
- Responsible for ensuring the warehouse works effectively with Planning & Logistics, Business Units, Account and Purchasing Managers to ensure the lean management of the supply chain to our customers.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies in connection with the warehousing function.
- Ensure Ways of Working are aligned to our Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Work closely with and support the Purchasing, Planning and Supply functions within the plant.
- As a member of the Production Team, support training and development of the logistics team to support the overall business and to deliver the defined business goals & objectives.
- Assist the Logistics Manager with the identification and development of talent, including performance management, coaching, and mentoring for high performance.
- Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements training, and regulations.
- Compliance to all local site company policies, procedures, and corporate policies.
- Perform additional duties at the request of the direct supervisor.
- Act in accordance with the company’s guiding principles and adherence to the corporate Code of Conduct.
