Job Description
As the Direct Procurement Lead, you will be instrumental in designing and shaping our company's global Direct Procurement solution, collaborating with the Global Supplier Management Value Team. This role requires a seasoned professional who possesses strong technical skills in SAP configuration and an in-depth understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design: Lead the design and implementation of the Direct Procurement solution in alignment with the Global Supplier Management Value Team's objectives.
SAP Configuration Management: Oversee the SAP configuration specifically for Direct Procurement, ensuring functionality meets business needs.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with various business areas including Digital Manufacturing, Compliance, and Research & Development to align initiatives and address challenges.
Project Delivery: Accountable for the successful delivery of assigned IT Direct Procurement projects, managing scope, timelines, and budgets in accordance with company standards.
Vendor Management: Engage with and manage relationships with outsourced vendors, ensuring deliverables meet quality expectations.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that the Direct Procurement team adheres to regulatory commitments, sustainability goals, and industry best practices.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with other work streams and Application Maintenance Services leads to facilitate seamless integration and support.
Required Skills and Experience:
Technical Proficiency: Minimum of 5 years of strong technical experience in ECC Procurement, with proven SAP ECC or S/4HANA configuration expertise. Proficiency in Output determination, Master data (Material master, PIR, Source lists etc.) Release strategies, Pricing is considered a core requirement. Integration with other Applications like Ariba, Master Data Governance, Banking / Payment interfaces will be a definite plus.
Cross-module Knowledge: Cross-module integration points between SAP-MM, PP, QM, WM & Logistics is important
Supply Chain Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of supply chain and logistics processes relevant to the organization.
Communication Skills: Excellent command of the English language, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Project Management: Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple simultaneous projects and effectively prioritize tasks.
Resource Management: Proven ability to drive project resources effectively from initiation through to completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Agile methodology.
Background in the Life Sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, HP/ALM or ServiceNow.
