What you’ll be spending your time on:
- Driving acquisition of high value cross-border eCommerce merchants in Vietnam.
- Undertaking initiatives to build a strong and sustained pipeline of opportunities, converting them with speed and efficiency, and securing share of wallet.
- Anchoring partnership initiatives and driving mindshare by working with Industry bodies, Shopping cart platforms and other payment orchestration platforms.
- Showing high degree of entrepreneurial spirit in finding new customer verticals and segments.
- Ensuring customer profitability and retention by identifying and pursuing broader opportunities that serve their overall payments in and out needs.
- Keeping a strong pulse on market competition, opportunities and challenges; sharing actionable insights and customer feedback with regional and global stakeholders, aimed at continually strengthening our value proposition and competitive position in the market.
For this role you also have:
- Proven, outcome-focused outbound sales experience, with demonstrated proficiency in using lead generation and pipeline management tools, research and exploration, engagement with industry associations and other entrepreneurial channels to exceed your goals.
- Strong cross collaboration skills that enable you to partner closely with Lead Generation, Partnerships, Marketing, Customer Service, and other functions in achieving shared objectives and KPIs.
- Innate ability to understand payments technology and lead with a technical sales mindset.
- Experience in structuring and negotiating commercial deals for Payoneer Checkout and for product bundles that address prospects’ holistic money in/out needs.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with an ability to forge trusting and collaborate relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong drive for excellence that motivates you to continually improve and develop your skills.
- Clarity of thought, sense of urgency and independence in delivering your goals with minimal guidance.
Skills, Qualification and Experience
- 3-5 years of business development experience in the payments industry selling eCommerce payments and/or acquiring solutions to SMBs, SMEs.
- Track record of meeting and exceeding business goals/KPIs.
- Analytical and data oriented – strong in data backed decision-making.
- Able to drive operational excellence through innovative initiatives.
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese.
Not a must but a great advantage:
- Experience with Payment Service Providers, Acquirers, Gateways, Card Networks.
- Experience with direct sales for small businesses engaged in cross border trade.
- Experience with data analytics & BI tools.
