What role will you play?

  • Lead an experienced team of managers and accounting experts overseeing the revenue recognition process in compliance with IFRS 15 / ASC 606.
  • You will partner with product and business teams on new offerings ensuring revenue recognition policies and processes align with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee our month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for revenue and related metrics, ensuring timely and accurate revenue recognition in our SAP ERP systems, account reconciliations, and reporting.
  • You will be responsible for the financial reporting and disclosures related to revenue, working closely with our external auditors to manage an efficient & effective audit process.
  • Provide actionable insights to support key business initiatives by analyzing revenue trends and other financial metrics.
  • As a member of a team that operates in a highly complex system & reporting landscape, you will drive continuous process improvement and automation.
  • You will play a key role in the design and roll-out of our new ERP system (SAP S/4Hana) and other finance and reporting tools.

Does this sound good? Our ideal candidate will have

  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive work experience in a similar role, preferably a mix of tech companies and public accounting.
  • Thought leadership / extensive experience in software revenue recognition gained from an industry role or technical accounting advisory at a Big-4 public accounting firm.
  • Experience in leading and developing high performing global teams (managers of teams) and managing complex cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal acumen and executive presence including written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to explain complex accounting topics and financial implications to senior leadership.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills with the capability to break down complex problems to determine root cause issues and troubleshoot and develop systemic solutions.
  • Advanced experience with an ERP system, preferably SAP.
