About the role
The successful applicant will have programme responsibility for leading the town planning function, working with the various client organisations as a champion for best practice to deliver projects. This will include providing planning advice, preparing high quality reports and developing client and stakeholder relationships to support the delivery of complex infrastructure projects. The role will work cross-functionally with the programme supply chain to address planning and development matters and interfaces.
The role supports the land, property, and planning function to lead the planning sub-functional area, including developing and maintaining a resourcing plan.
The successful applicant will bring to the role substantial experience of planning assessment, planning consenting and strategic advice across the project lifecycle through to completion on transport or other major infrastructure projects.
You will be a positive communicator with strong influencing ability, who is able to lead tasks without direct supervision and coordinate the work of a task delivery team.

- Extensive experience relevant to the role, with infrastructure experience preferred;
- A recognised planning qualification (IPI or RTPI);
- A sound knowledge of Irish town planning legislation and practice including their application through infrastructure projects, policies and programmes;
- An ability to identify relevant environmental, social and economic policy and legislation and use it to scope and develop appropriate consenting routes;
- An ability to build positive and responsive working relationships with internal and external clients;
- A proven track record of successful project delivery on environmental and/or sustainability projects and programmes working in a client-facing role;
- Experience of leading and managing teams, supporting resource development and deployment;
- Knowledge of Oral hearing / expert witness experience;
- Flexibility to work between different offices if required and
- Excellent written, verbal and IT skills.
