As aGlobal Revenue Assurance Advisor,you will be responsible forproviding specialty advisory support in the interpretation and application revenue recognition policies across business stakeholders including sales, legal and operations. You will have opportunities to grow and develop through in house subject matter expert rotations and project participation.
You will:
Assume role in the EMEA Revenue Assurance organization to support development and application of consistent revenue recognition rules and document accounting position for Dell's revenue generating activities across varied business models, product lines and distribution channels.
Ensure consistent treatment of Global deals and consistent application of Revenue Recognition guidance and policy and provide advice and support to Dell EMC’s Sales organization on complex accounting issues during contract/deal negotiations in order to ensure deals are structured in accordance with Dell’s Revenue Recognition policy and U.S. GAAP to maximize revenue
Ensure the revenue transactions are reviewed, documented and accounted for in compliance with Dell EMC’s Revenue Recognition Policy, US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley 404 (SOX) and maintain up to date and thorough knowledge of Dell Revenue and underlying U.S. GAAP Accounting rules
Support Dell EMC’s implementation of Revenue Recognition guidance –ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts With customers
Work with all levels of the organization including Sales, Legal, Services, Corporate Finance, Tax, etc. and partner with IT to identify gaps and develop and improve reporting and processes to minimize manual workarounds
Essential Requirements
Masters' degree in Accounting AND ACCA qualification AND 5+ years in a relevant Accounting role
Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point), SAP andASC606 & or ASC842 accounting standards familiarity
Experience in researching policies/authoritative guidance and make recommendations and attention to detail suited to the review of contractual documentation
Clear communication and collaborative business partnering, strong negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills, great ability to handle multiple competing priorities, excellent customer service skills and teamwork
Attention to detail, goal focus, ability to consistently meet or exceed deadlines
