The globalResources Sector

As the, you will be responsible for working as part of our new
Resources Hubteam to provide and lead design services, technical input and direction in design to assist with the development and execution of growth strategies that will lead to the growth of new energy and resources business within ANZ and globally. This role will focus on leading the design aspects in support of the pursuit and delivery of key opportunities within the new energy and resources sector.

The primary focus of the role will be (but not limited to):

• To lead the Piping engineering elements delivery of study (and potentially delivery) phases of projects. This will require leading the interface with local and regional delivery as well as GID delivery centres in order to build and improve delivery within the sector.

• As Discipline Lead you will be hands on in delivery and project management, technically excellent engineering designs and consultancy services.

• Deliver technically excellent Piping Management engineering designs and consultancy services. Carry out independently design/review/assurance on Projects.

• Bid preparation and submittals as required, support section leader, project managers in the delivery of financially successful projects whilst achieving excellent client satisfaction.

• Keep abreast of new methods and developments impacting Jacobs in order to recommend change to current or new direction.

• Track and contribute to industry developments, ensuring Jacobs is applying the latest technical developments.

• Develop Jacobs’ capabilities and reputation in APAC by representing Jacobs at key thought leadership events.

• Manage complex Piping engineering elements and/or multidisciplinary projects in PM, and potentially DPE roles, delivering on cost, on time, and resulting in client satisfaction.

Here's what you'll need

• Relevant Tertiary Engineering Degree (Professional Registration CPEng highly regarded) and demonstrated professional experience within the Resources Sector.

• Robust knowledge of international and local engineering methods, applicable codes and specifications associated with resources projects.

• Experience with various aspects of the planning, design and commissioning processes, construction methods and interface requirements of multi-disciplinary projects.

• Solid knowledge of planning, study, detailed design, commissioning and close out resources and and/or new energy projects, with sound knowledge of current design standards

• Familiar with the delivery methodology including initiation, development and delivery phases, the specific requirements and levels of accuracy as well as design maturity required at each delivery gate for resources and/or new energy clients.

• Experience and demonstrated track record of successfully delivering studies for resources and/or new energy key clients.

• Experience in delivering EPC and/or EPCM projects. (not essential but held in high regard)
