multipleMechanical Engineer roleson offer. As akey responsibilities will be(but not limited to):

  • Resources Hub and Market: Support the Resources Hub by providing consultancy services, engineering services, technical input, and direction in design. Assist with the pursuit and delivery of key opportunities within the new energy and resources sector. Focus on developing a Jacobs offering that leverages our existing multi-disciplinary capability, providing a unique value proposition for our clients. Where gaps are identified in Jacobs’ existing offering, assist in articulating and recruiting to fill these gaps. Support the mechanical engineering elements of materials handling and process infrastructure projects, ensuring integration with other engineering disciplines.
  • Engineering Tasks and Analysis : Collaborate with project teams to design mechanical systems and equipment for civil construction and mining projects. Conduct feasibility studies, perform calculations, and create detailed engineering designs. Solve complex problems and take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Apply functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems. Specialize in the design, analysis, and troubleshooting of bulk materials handling systems, including crushers, conveyors, stackers, reclaimers, and ship loaders. Utilize DEM (Discrete Element Method) analysis to optimize materials handling processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, engineers, technicians, and contractors, to coordinate mechanical engineering activities. Communicate effectively to convey technical information, provide guidance, and address project requirements.
Here's what you'll need

.

  • Relevant Tertiary Engineering Degree (Professional Registration CPEng highly regarded) and demonstrated professional experience predominantly within the Mining Resources Sector .
  • Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in Mechanical Engineering with proven ability to independently use advanced theoretical knowledge of engineering principles to analyse, interpret, and conclude on complex matters or decisions.
  • Robust knowledge of international and local Civil engineering methods, applicable codes and specifications associated with resources projects.
  • Experience with various aspects of the planning, design and commissioning processes, construction methods and interface requirements of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Solid knowledge of planning, study, detailed design, commissioning and close out resources and and/or new energy projects, with sound knowledge of current design standards
  • Familiar with the delivery methodology including initiation, development and delivery phases, the specific requirements and levels of accuracy as well as design maturity required at each delivery gate for resources and/or new energy clients.
  • Experience in delivering EPC and/or EPCM projects held in high regard.
  • A strategic and innovative mindset coupled with the ability to solve complex problems, using strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with others.
