About the Role

What the Candidate Will Do

• Design, build, and manage Uber's corporate network with focus on backbone, data center, and cloud infrastructure, facilitating seamless global expansion and rapid scalability.
• Contribute to long-term strategic design and operational planning across the entire network stack.
• Develop strict network security policies to protect critical company data while fostering accountability and transparency in day-to-day operations.
• Build capabilities for monitoring, alerting, automation, and self healing networks
• Identify opportunities for business enablement through smart use of technology
• Evaluate and recommend new software platforms and services
• Develop automated methods to solve and mitigate network events, as well as self-service tools to improve operational efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

• Expert knowledge in Routing & Switching using Cisco (Nexus, ASR) and Juniper (MX, QFX) platforms.
• Experience in the design and implementation of public clouds (AWS, GCP, and OCI)
• Experience with firewall technologies including Palo Alto, Juniper SRX, Cloud Security, and DDOS solutions
• Experience with IPv6 and dual-stack environments
• Bachelor of Science in Computer or Engineering field, or equivalent work experience
• Strong skills in process, documentation, and change management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large network designs, architecture, and deployment.
• Experience in Public Clouds technologies including AWS, GCP, and OCI
• Strong knowledge in scripting (Python,Terraform, Ansible preferred).
• Proficiency in security operations utilizing Palo Alto and Juniper SRX firewalls
• Experience in F5 and native cloud load balancers
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Experience in supporting 24X7 global teams
