Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
· Develop & execute eBay Australia’s shipping & logistics roadmap, prioritizing cross-border efficiency and scalability.
· Lead carrier negotiations (domestic: AusPost, StarTrack, Toll; international: DHL, FedEx, UPS, regional specialists) for competitive rates, service levels, and innovation.
· Design solutions for complex international logistics challenges (customs clearance, duties/taxes, tracking, returns).
Operational Excellence:
· Manage day-to-day logistics performance across B2C, C2C, and B2B channels, focusing on delivery speed, cost, and reliability KPIs.
· Oversee cross-border compliance (Australian Border Force, AQIS, GST regulations) and risk mitigation.
· Work with Product/Tech teams to enhance shipping tools, tracking visibility, and seller integration.
· Advise Commercial teams on logistics-driven growth opportunities (e.g., new international corridors).
· Support Customer Service with escalation resolution and root-cause analysis for delivery failures.
Data-Driven Innovation:
· Analyze shipping data (costs, transit times, damage rates) to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement areas.
· Pilot new technologies (e.g., AI-driven routing, blockchain customs docs) and last-mile solutions.
· Optimize returns logistics & reverse supply chains for international items.
· Lead a team of logistics specialists; mentor talent and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
· Build trusted relationships with carriers, 3PLs, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Finance).
