Key job responsibilities
• Innovation and Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot system failures with a strong methodology and effective problem-solving skills.
• Adaptability: Quickly adjust to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Networking: Solid understanding of networking principles, especially in layer two networks, including applying network switch configurations.
• Windows Server Administration: Comprehensive knowledge of Windows troubleshooting and administration in large server environments. Experience managing a large number of AWS EC2 Windows instances is also acceptable.
• Virtualization: Solid understanding of hypervisors and VM's; experience with Hyper-V is a plus.
• Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in at least one scripting language.
• AWS Tooling: Experience with AWS tools and cloud support; ability to design straightforward cloud solutions.About the team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in building and supporting large-scale Windows server environments or managing a large number of AWS EC2 instances.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical Expertise: Proficient in Windows server administration and troubleshooting within large environments, including hardware failure resolution. Experience managing a large number of AWS EC2 Windows instances is also highly valued.
• Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of networking principles, particularly layer two networks and network switch configurations.
• Problem-Solving and Innovation: Demonstrates effective troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to resolving system failures.
• Versatility and Efficiency: Adaptable to shifting priorities, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently, and experienced with hypervisors, VM's, and scripting languages.
• Cloud and Automation Skills: Familiar with AWS tools and cloud support, capable of designing straightforward cloud solutions, and knowledgeable in automation and scripting.
