Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 2+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years working in web analytics, big data, data science, preferably with paid search technologies.
  • 1+ years experience with data analytics tools like R, Python, Excel, Tableau, SAS.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
    • OR equivalent experience.

Data Analytics IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $66,500 - CAD $128,300 per year.

Responsibilities

In the role of a Data Analyst in this team, you will perform the following functions:

  • You will run data analyses on various marketplace health metrics by deriving insights into marketplace investigations.
  • You will be technically savvy to pull data from multiple data sources and connect the dots to draw insights from the data.
  • You will drive continuous improvements to our current monitoring and investigation toolkits.
  • You will drive mitigation to marketplace live site issues by collaborating with different engineering and business teams as needed to bring the issue to a closure.
  • You will drive extensive root cause analyses and follow-ups for preventing future issues.
  • You will be part of an on-call rotation (once every 8-10 weeks) where you will be the person on point to respond to issues as they arise.
