Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Identifying and documenting business capabilities, processes, and functions.
Developing and maintaining business architecture models, roadmaps, and standards.
Collaborating with stakeholders to identify business needs and requirements.
Defining and implementing process improvement initiatives to optimize business performance.
Ensuring that business solutions align with the organization's overall strategic direction.
Monitoring and evaluating business performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Providing guidance and support to other departments and teams in the organization to ensure alignment with the overall business architecture.
Lead the formulation and execution of Qualcomm's enterprise application architecture strategy, aligning it with business objectives and technology evolution.
Design and guide the implementation of a scalable, secure, and efficient enterprise system architecture that supports the needs of the business, focusing on enhancing business processes and user experiences.
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand functional needs and translate these requirements into comprehensive architectural designs.
Evaluate and recommend application technologies (including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions) that enhance our agility, efficiency, and competitive edge.
Develop and maintain a roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio, ensuring it remains aligned with business strategies and technology trends.
Advocate for and implement best practices in application development, deployment, and lifecycle management, including CI/CD, containerization, DevSecOps, and microservices architectures.
Define and enforce application architecture standards, policies, and procedures to ensure security, quality, and compliance across all applications.
Lead the analysis of existing application effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
Mentor and develop a team of application architects and developers, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience: 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a strong background in both business and application architecture, including leading enterprise-level application projects.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the semiconductor industry and its unique technological and business challenges.
Enterprise Architecture: Extensive knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF) and their practical application. Strong understanding of BIZBOK concepts.
Business Process Modeling: Expertise in business process modeling, enterprise business architecture, and associated tools (e.g., BPMN, ArchiMate).
Application Development: Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance enterprise application architectures. Deep expertise in various application development languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, React, Angular).
Cloud Computing: Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience in architecting cloud-native and hybrid cloud solutions.
Data Architecture: Solid understanding of data architecture principles, including data mesh and data strategy concepts.
Modern Development Practices: Extensive experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.
Project Management: Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives. Familiarity with methodologies such as SAFe.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable architectural solutions.
Communication: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence senior-level decision-making.
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and change management skills to drive the adoption of new business processes and systems.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail in written communication, documentation, and presentation material.
Sales and Marketing Expertise: Demonstrated experience in architecting solutions for complex sales and marketing processes, particularly within the semiconductor industry or similarly complex B2B technology sectors.
CRM and Marketing Automation: Extensive knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and marketing automation platforms, with experience in designing and implementing these solutions for enterprise-scale organizations.
CPQ Systems: Proven experience in architecting Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) systems, particularly those tailored to the complexities of semiconductor pricing and product configurations.
Account-Based Marketing: Understanding of Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies and experience in designing architectural solutions to support ABM initiatives.
Sales Analytics: Strong background in sales analytics and forecasting, including experience with designing data architectures that support predictive analytics for complex sales cycles.
Digital Transformation in Sales: Track record of leading digital transformation initiatives in sales and marketing functions, particularly in transitioning traditional sales processes to digital platforms.
Industry-Specific Knowledge: In-depth understanding of semiconductor sales cycles, including design-in processes, long-term supply agreements, and the intricacies of selling to OEMs, ODMs, and other key players in the semiconductor ecosystem.
Partner Ecosystem Management: Experience in architecting solutions for managing complex partner ecosystems, including distributors, value-added resellers, and technology alliance partners common in the semiconductor industry.
Compliance and Export Control: Familiarity with compliance requirements and export control regulations specific to the semiconductor industry, and experience in incorporating these into architectural designs.
IoT and Emerging Technologies: Understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) and other emerging technologies relevant to semiconductor sales and marketing, and experience in designing architectures that support these new business models.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Industry Expertise: Deep semiconductor industry experience, particularly in sales, marketing, and go-to-market strategies.

Experience with big data architectures and analytics platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in sales and marketing
Enterprise Integration: Experience with enterprise integration patterns, API management, and service-oriented architecture (SOA), particularly in connecting sales and marketing systems with ERP and supply chain platforms.
Transformation Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading large-scale enterprise transformation projects, particularly in digitalizing sales and marketing processes.
Financial Acumen: Advanced understanding of financial modeling and budgeting in relation to IT investments and ROI, specific to sales and marketing technology initiatives.
Global Experience: Experience working in or with international teams, understanding global business practices and challenges in semiconductor sales and distribution.
Executive Communication: Track record of successful stakeholder management at the executive level, including board-level presentations on architectural strategies.
Innovation: A track record of innovation, with patents or published work in the field of application architecture, software development, or sales/marketing technology.
Agile and Lean: Advanced certifications or proven experience in scaling Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe Program Consultant) and applying Lean principles to enterprise architecture.
Security and Compliance: Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) as they relate to sales and marketing data in the semiconductor industry.
Emerging Technologies: Demonstrated experience architecting solutions leveraging emerging technologies such as blockchain, IoT, or edge computing for innovative sales and marketing applications.
Partner Ecosystem Architecture: Experience designing architectures that support complex partner ecosystems and channel sales models common in the semiconductor industry.
Customer Experience: Expertise in architecting solutions that enhance customer experience throughout the sales cycle, including digital self-service platforms and personalized marketing systems.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is strongly preferred.

$168,400.00 - $252,600.00
