Lead and execute high-level consumer communications strategies, translating global priorities into impactful, regionally relevant initiatives that support Airbnb’s key business goals across APAC.
Oversee the development and management of region-wide campaigns, including Only On Airbnb projects, local awareness campaigns, celebrity-hosted stays, influencer collaborations, and product launches, ensuring flawless execution in partnership with local communications teams.
Act as a key liaison between APAC consumer communications and global consumer communications, regularly briefing on regional progress, key opportunities, and challenges.
Partner closely with teams across marketing, policy, product, and legal to ensure integrated communication strategies and seamless implementation across all campaigns.
Leverage deep understanding of APAC’s cultural and media landscapes to drive innovative, buzz-worthy campaigns that generate wide-reaching social and traditional media coverage, while positioning Airbnb as a leader in travel and experiences.
Empower local market creativity and agility, while providing guidance and support to regional communications teams to ensure alignment with global objectives
Manage, mentor, and enable the success of direct reports in the regional consumer communications teams.
Proactively develop solutions, find efficiencies and improve processes across the international team.
Ability to manage key external agency partners and third party brands, including drafting scopes of works, reviewing creative proposals, term sheets and executing contracts.
Your Expertise:
10+ years of leadership experience in consumer communications, with proven success in a regional or global role. Experience in the tech or travel industry is a strong advantage.
Exceptional track record in developing and delivering high-impact consumer communications campaigns that drive brand awareness, buzz, and trust across multiple markets.
Track record in people and team management across cultures and/or geographies.
Strong expertise in navigating cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed organization, with an ability to influence and build consensus among diverse teams.
Proven experience partnering with public policy teams to amplify consumer narratives with a broader policy focus.
Highly skilled in stakeholder management at all levels, including leading discussions with senior leadership, and external partners.
Demonstrated ability to manage communications in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
Adept to change and ambiguity while always remaining calm under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
