As a
Director Operational Excellence, you will be one of the key local leads and part of a globally connected team, responsible to deliver value to our clients and to grow our local business, skills and people by being involved in the following tasks:

  • Guiding the Chief Operating Officer with expert advice, streamlined strategies, and thoughtful insights to elevate organizational performance and operational excellence.
  • Develop and manage strong credibility and relationships at C-level, based on the positive impact of your team.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, industry perspective and relevant point of view to drive customer value.
  • Develop a strong network of EY clients, experts, colleagues, and friends.
  • Leverage your analytical and technical skills to steer your team toward exceptional insights and deliverables that guide our clients through their operational transformation.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related field with strong academic records;
  • A minimum of 12 years of professional experience with a demonstrated track record of delivering sustained improvements in business performance, gained in industry and consulting;
  • Hands on experience in digitizing functions, leading functional transformation initiatives and leading continuous improvement/operational excellence programs;
  • You are passionate about the operational (logistics, manufacturing, production, maintenance environment and can rely on strong knowledge and experience in this field; preferably combined with sector knowledge in consumer goods and life sciences.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, French and/or Dutch;
  • Have proven experience in running improvement projects aiming to eliminate losses;
  • Experienced in managing and coaching from the shopfloor to the boardroom;
  • Passion for systemic solutions versus a “fix it when it breaks” mentality;
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, drive, enthusiasm, conceptual thinking, communication and influencing skills and pragmatism in execution;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, excellent business development skills & passion for winning;
  • Intrinsic motivation to help establish and strengthen relationships with our clients;
  • Commitment to support the development of others through coaching and counselling team members.
