As a Project Manager, you will engage in the full lifecycle of customer projects. Your responsibilities will grow in stages, starting with these key tasks:Development Methodology Expertise:
• Master the development methodology and act as its ambassador for the development teams.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and standardized procedures to enhance project outcomes.Reporting and Compliance:
• Track and report project status regularly to stakeholders.
• Update cost forecasts and handle invoicing.
• Maintain compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Managing project risks and dependencies
• Managing project resourcing and financials
• Tracking and reporting the project status to internal and external stakeholdersTeam Collaboration:
• Sparring with senior project managers to gain guidance.
• Keeping the team on track with the Agile process and adapting it as necessary for the given project context
• Keeping the team focused on meeting their goals and objectives
• Leading the team towards continuous improvement
• Motivating the team and fostering an environment where excellence can be achievedSuccessful Project Delivery:
• Coordinate projects with customers based in Americas and other regions.
• Together with your team, ensure the project's successful delivery, meeting the scope, time, quality and budgetary requirements.Customer and Stakeholder Communication:
• Serve as the first point of contact for both the customer and management.
• Discuss project setup requirements with customers and align on milestones and next steps.
• Facilitate regular communication to keep all parties informed and engaged.
• Negotiation project scope with customer
• By taking on these responsibilities, you will play a vital role in delivering successful projects and growing your project management skills.
• Work with the customer and project team to define high-level requirements in terms of features and user stories
• Managing the customers’ expectations while safeguarding the delivery team
• Working with Business Analysts within the project team who are responsible for managing detailed requirements
• Ensuring excellent communication and collaboration between all internal and external teams
• Maintaining close relationships with customers and colleagues to support a “one-team” mindset
• Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics or related fields
• Well experienced as a Project Manager on external customer-facing projects.
• Proved Experience managing commercial projects in a services environment.
• Solid knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience managing full life cycle projects from initial scoping through to delivery.
• Experience with user stories, story point estimation, and measuring velocity.
• Experience with software development projects.
• Experience leading project teams.
• Customer interaction skills, ability to prioritize software requirements, identify reusability and hence provide acceptable work-around to customers.
• Strong empathy for both customer and team as basis for effective negotiation
• Comfortable reaching out to and coordinating with virtual teams and team members.
• Self-motivated, open-minded, resourceful, agile and pragmatic.
• Ability to proactively resolve problems focusing on teamwork, results, and people.
• Skilled in managing project scope, timeline, budget, and risks
• Passionate about working with and implementing quality standards, including methodologies and security protocols
• Proficient in using project management tools and software (e.g., Jira)
• Enthusiastic about learning and maintaining a continuous learning mindset
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Spanish
• Business process and SAP ERP application knowledge is a plus.
• PMI certification is desired but not required.
