Job responsibilities:
- Create and maintain product documentation, including user guides, application program interface (API) documentation, integration guides, and release notes.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Develop and maintain a consistent documentation style and format across all materials.
- Help define the strategy for content changes working closely with program and product management staying lock step with delivery
- Speak directly to internal customers to understand documentation needs across features and functionality.
- Assist in the creation of training materials, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and other support content as needed.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing in the payments or financial technology industry.
- Experience with API documentation and tools like Swagger or Postman.
- Understanding of payment systems and technologies.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality documentation.
- Familiarity with version control systems.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication.
- Proven success in collaborating with cross-functional teams, influencing and driving decisions.
- Hybrid in-office work schedule. Flexibility to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Bachelors or Masters in Communications, Computer Science or comparable field of study.
- B2B SaaS or platform products experience a plus.
