You, as a Financial Systems Senior Solution Architect, is responsible for the financial core systems supporting the different Booking Brands. This requires balancing the solidity expected of a finance backend with the flexibility to create innovative products for bookers and partners. You bring expert knowledge, experience and strong communication skills. You work closely with the different development teams to make this a reality and are part of the architecture team designing the future of FS.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:Strategize
Shape the architectural vision, strategy & roadmap across all domains in the Financial Systems business unit area, across multiple tracks
Develop SAP and homegrown applications architecture strategy in alignment with the business goals
Manages Financial Systems architecture governance: develops, communicates and ensures adherence to architecture processes, principles, policies and standards for the enterprise
Review business drivers and strategies, understand the implications to the Financial Systems as well as across Fintech applications architecture, and identify/mitigate risks to solutions
Champion and communicate the application architecture to the business leaders and development teams; associating the implication of the architecture decisions to objectives, drivers and goals
Accountable for the implementation of SAP and homegrown applications architecture roadmap for designated product tracks
Innovate
Collect research on the competition in terms of best practices, business processes and procedures
Identify emerging technologies that can enable the overall business architecture
Contribute to the development of proof of concepts or prototypes
Partners with associates to build a comprehensive reference architecture, examine existing frameworks and prepare for the future
Apply company and tech community best practices while solving issues and designing new systems
Able to enhance existing patterns to make it perfectly fit to our context and define new best practices for the company
Architect
Demonstrate a high level of SAP S4 technical expertise on various domains (O2C/Payments; R2R, Treasury, Tax, MDM, BI) that brings inspiration and influence to the FS architecture craft, identifying opportunities to reduce complexity and coupling
Able to design large scale architecture that affect the whole Financial Systems tracks, acting as a role model of coaching & mentoring for Architects across the FS architecture community as potentially, across different departments in the company
Analyze the current IT ecosystem SAP and homegrown applications architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements across multiple tracks. Link and prioritized different improvements to ensure maximum results
Define transition steps and strategy from the current to the future architecture
Analyze high-level feasibility of business requirements concerning Financial Systems solutions
Define the conceptual and detailed architecture for the development of Financial Systems ecosystem and oversee the evolution of that architecture
Develop and maintain IT ecosystem SAP and homegrown applications architecture models, processes and documentation
Deliver
Has sufficient knowledge to build software applications by using relevant development languages and applying knowledge of systems, services and tools appropriate for the Financial Systems scope
Responsible for advising product teams towards a technical or business solution that meets the functional, nonfunctional & architectural requirements by challenging the rationale for an application design and providing context in the wider architectural landscape, also guiding other craft members of the team in this topic
Responsible to systematically identify patterns and underlying issues in complex situations, and to find solutions by applying logical and analytical thinking
Level of Education: Master degree
10+ years of relevant working experience designing and architecting SAP Finance and Finance homegrown solutions
Knowledge of SAP best practices and Implementation Methodology
Proven proficiency in SAP Finance Accounting, Controlling, O2C/Payments, Treasury, Tax, MDM and BI
Good understanding of integration points across SAP Modules
S/4HANA Implementation experience is a must-have
Experience in finance audits and SOX is preferable
Responsible for constructively evaluating and developing ideas, plans and solutions by reviewing them, objectively taking into account external knowledge, initiating 'SMART' improvements and articulating their rationale, in a clear, well-structured, and meaningful way to a target audience. Guide other craft members of the team in this topic
