Your responsibilities will include:
- Determine customer needs through market research.
- Specify market requirements for current and future products.
- Serve as a liaison between the company and customers to ensure requirements are understood.
- Translate customer and internal stakeholder requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Collaborate with R&D and other stakeholders to define and prioritize product requirements.
- Create business cases and investment proposals for new features and enhancements.
- Define product strategy and roadmap for managed products.
- Analyze product requirements, prepare ROI analyses, and establish schedules for new product launches.
- Deliver Marketing Requirements Documents (MRDs) and Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) with prioritized features.
- Collaborate with program management to manage the product line lifecycle.
- Ensure product direction aligns with intended goals.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to meet product expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Define go-to-market strategy, helping Marketing understand product positioning and benefits.
- Identify, engage, and coordinate with business development teams for strategic partnerships.
- Stay informed about the competition and understand product value and market dynamics.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of product management experience, preferably in healthcare or related industries, contributing to business strategy and product planning.
- Experience with hardware development and engineering.
- Familiarity with the software development life cycle, particularly for market-ready medical devices and supporting software.
- Understanding of the regulatory approval process for medical device systems (including electronics and software).
- Knowledge of business development activities and strategic partner management and awareness of commercial cardiac diagnostic monitoring service types.
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced degree
- Experience with regulatory approval processes for medical device systems, including electronics and software.
- Strong skills in product launch management, particularly within the consumer wearables industry.
- Proven ability to collaborate with commercial and finance teams to define and implement effective business models.
- Clear understanding of protected health information security requirements, such as HIPAA.
- Demonstrated success in defining and launching excellent products.
- Familiarity with the structure of business units and key business initiatives.
- Proven excellence in organizational, coordination, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
