Key job responsibilities
• Drive time-based and condition-based maintenance activities
• Own fleet performance metrics
• Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes
• Manage fleet spare parts and inventory
• Train and mentor other Repair Technicians
• Assign shift roster and oversee Repair Technicians
• Demonstrate proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations
• Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manualsThis role requires the ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand / walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.This role requires the ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.This role requires travel, up to 25% of the time.Export Control License
This position may subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing if conducting safety sensitive functions as defined by the FAA. Federal law also requires Amazon to determine an applicant's DOT drug and/or alcohol testing history prior to hiring him/her into a position that would require them to conduct safety sensitive functions as defined by the FAA.
• 2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience
• Experience in installation of sub-assemblies and assemblies while working to drawings or CAD files
• Experience with common business applications and tools (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite)
• Experience guiding, training and mentoring others
• 2+ years of aviation industry experience
• Excellent business communication skills
• Candidates with Robotics and Manufacturing Engineering experience are highly encouraged to apply
