Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Serves as the manufacturing engineering lead for one or more of the Arden Hills manufacturing value streams or functional teams.

  • Provides direction and guidance to technician and engineering staff who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.

  • Aligns resources and identifies opportunities for improvement within the existing processes and systems.

  • Builds strong relationships and collaborates with cross-functional teams including Quality, R&D, Supplier Engineering, and Process Development functions.

  • Ensures that inputs from all customers are understood, plans are appropriately developed, and drives accountability and execution to plans.

  • Utilizes excellent communication skills, demonstrating leadership communicating both up and down the organization.

  • Influences, guides, and manages internal/external resources to achieve program goals.

  • Provides significant guidance and approval regarding technical strategies and approaches.

  • Recruits, coaches, and develops organizational talent.

  • Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.

  • Creates an entrepreneurial environment.

  • Keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.

  • Demonstrates effective change leadership.

  • Develops and executes organizational and operational policies that affect one or more groups by utilizing technical/professional knowledge and skills.

  • Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.).

  • Makes decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules in order to achieve department objectives.

  • Develops, monitors, and appropriately adjusts the annual budget for one or more functional areas.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline

  • 5+ years of related work experience

  • 2 + years of supervisory / management experience

  • Demonstrated track record of project management execution

  • Proven successful leadership experience

  • Experience with manufacturing process improvement and production tools (i.e. LEAN, DMAIC)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in engineering or business

  • Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing

  • Familiarity with new product development and project management

  • Ability to communicate at various levels of the organization
