As a Gen AI, Pro-Code Tools, and IDE (Associate) Developer (f/m/d) you will be part of our team that plays a pivotal role in the ongoing evolution of business software development. You will help evolving the IDEs and tools used for building business software with ABAP.Join our teams with the following tasks:

• Integrate generative AI capabilities into the universe of ABAP development, profoundly changing the way developers create business software.
• Support our customers in their transition to cloud-based solutions by providing AI powered tools to migrate legacy code - particularly custom ABAP code - into a cloud environment.
• Build frameworks to ensure broader usage of our tools, especially as a basis for integrating AI capabilities.
• Follow emerging trends and technologies, particularly in AI, pro-code tools, and evolution of IDEs, and use this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure a high-quality build and delivery process of our IDE products (using tools like Jenkins, git/Gerrit and Maven).

You should have a sound technical background with a university degree in a technical discipline or equivalent. Being familiar with at least one modern programming language is a must as is fluency in German and English. Additionally, you should bring experience in following areas:

• Programming languages ABAP and Java
• Solid knowledge of generative AI applications, Pro-Code Tools, and Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), whether through education or personal projects.
• Exposure to cloud technologies and migrations, ideally through academic projects or internships.
• The ability to understand complex technical concepts as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
• Lean-Principles and Agile development methodologies and tools.
