What you’ll do

As a Senior Performance Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the performance and scalability of our cloud-based solutions. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to cover frequently used and time-critical functionalities using well-defined representative test data. Ensure that integration scenarios are also covered.
  • Setup of Performance Tests: Define and set up an appropriate test environment, including performance test systems and performance test cases, from the first implementation of the software.
  • Performance Measurement and Analysis: Utilize performance measurement and analysis tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Compliance with Performance Standards: Ensure compliance with SAP's Product Standard Performance, including non-regression testing to verify that no additional hardware resources are required for identical business functionality after software upgrades.

What you bring

To excel in this role, you should bring the following qualifications and skills:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of performance testing tools, automation tools, and monitoring tools. Experience with setting up and managing performance test environments. Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) and its components is an advantage.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze performance test results and identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Experience with SAP Products: Familiarity with SAP's Product Standard Performance and experience in verifying performance requirements in SAP environments.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills to address performance issues and optimize system performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing technologies and processes in a dynamic work environment.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest performance testing methodologies and tools, and applying best practices in your work.
