As an Associate within our Quality Control team, you will be responsible for day-to-day Credit documentation quality review, facilitating cross functional meetings, providing guidance and consultation to data owners, and working collaboratively with stakeholders and management to ensure quality performance is monitored, communicated and implemented in accordance with firm policies and standard operating procedures.
Job responsibilities:
- Audits and performs Quality Review of : Credit documentation, Collateral and Covenant Set up as well as Line facilitation set up and maintenance.
- Contributes to continuous improvement and development of the quality program and engineer process changes;
- Provides general assistance and subject matter expertise to data owners and approvers;
- Understands and interprets firm policies and compliance requirements for incorporation into quality control policies and procedures
- Participates in stakeholder meetings to meet deadlines and/ or resolve problems at peer level;
- Maintains a controls mind-set, able to challenge the status quo and identify process efficiencies
- Assists with process transfers, partner communications, maintains of quality agreements and additional responsibilities assigned by management
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- University graduate or relevant commercial experience with minimum 3 years’ experience;
- At least 3 years of experience within a financial institution in documentation, audit, and/or experience in reviewing and checking credit/loan documentation to ensure accuracy and quality of documentation;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate at all levels;
- Strong organisational skills and strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work independently, self-motivated with ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines;
- Strong solution based problem solving and analytical skills, able to add value rather than just accept the status-quo;
- Control and Risk Mitigation mind-set
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with modern data science & analytic tools
- Candidate should at least be proficient in either French or Italian, in addition to English.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Understanding of credit related legal risks and mortgage product knowledge.
- Fluency in French and Italian. Additional Spanish is an advantage.
- Familiarity with programming languages, such as Alteryx, Python, Tableau and UiPath.
