Consumer Industries is hiring a User Experience Research Specialist to work within our Consumer Packaged Goods industry products, like .
As a UX Researcher, you'll help us simplify complexity by identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement on behalf of the user. You will have the opportunity to partner closely with UX designers, product managers, engineers and business experts to lead research across the various life cycles of products. Your previous experience as a UX researcher in an agile software development environment will enable you to jump right in and design studies that inform decisions for our products.
What you'll do
You would work on a wide variety of tasks within a dynamic work environment are a given. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills are a must to succeed, as well as the ability to work across different time zones and cultures.
- Conduct user research on products within the Consumer Packaged Good industry teams working collaboratively with the key members of the product team
- Represent the needs of customers across the product and design lifecycle from discovery through design validation and customer adoption across a portfolio of products
- Craft materials for research activities, such as research plans, moderation guides and workshop templates that align methods and scope with needs and constraints, then execute the research sessions
- Synthesize/analyze data and findings, developing actionable insights, outputs and frameworks for both short term and long-term research needs for product interactions and experiences
- Balance research rigor with agility to deliver timely, useful results
- Design compelling and digestible deliverables for product stakeholders, focused on storytelling and highlighting important insights for next steps
- Review research processes of others, offering consulting on user research best practices
- Collaborate with other researchers, designers, product managers and engineers to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation
- Work with stakeholders to monitor success metrics and help design and product leaders continuously improve the experience
What you bring
- 4+ years of experience owning and leading user research projects with demonstrated impact on outcome, ideally in a software company
- Proficient in a wide variety of user research methods and able to mix and apply methods to answer research questions
- Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions about how and when to apply research methods based on solid understanding of their benefits and tradeoffs
- Excellent communications skills; fluency in English is required
- Strong presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
- Open to trying new ways of working and teaching the broader organization how to integrate research into our daily activities
- Must be a solid team player in international teams with the ability to work asynchronously and manage your time well
- Demonstrated humility and a low ego
- Familiarity with the UX design process and tools
