Job Responsibilities:
Manage litigation matters, pre-litigation demands, provide legal advice, and handle internal investigations
Hire and oversee outside litigation counsel
Work as a team with other attorneys and legal professionals
Potential to perform a wide variety of attorney tasks
Understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions to achieve desired outcome
Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders
Ensure project deliverables and timelines are met
Basic Qualifications:
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing of at least one state bar
At least 4 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, in-house legal department and/or government agency. Previous experience in the financial services industry is a plus but not required. Applicants without financial services experience who otherwise meet the criteria are encouraged to apply
Federal court or state appellate court clerkship
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and flexibility to adapt to changing needs
Ability and desire to learn new areas of law
Ability and willingness to work as a team player
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
This role is hybrid meaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting. Monday and Fridays are enterprise- wide virtual work days. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.
