What You'll Do
- Manage activities of regional distribution channels for multiple business units
- Manage coordination of imports and exports in assigned region
- Drive logistics performance ensuring logistics is never a bottleneck
- Ensure regulatory requirements are met and enforced to ensure fluid movement of products around the globe
- Internally engage with Uber teams to analyze their distribution and inventory management needs and develop cost-effective solutions
- Review 3PL vendor quality control measures; identify and resolve discrepancies in partnership with the 3PL and Global Distribution Manager
- Monitor performance metrics requirements and work with 3PLs to perform Root Cause Analysis and implement Corrective Actions
- Create contingency plans to execute in emergency and “out of scope” situations
- Supervise distribution vendor compliance and advise Global Distribution Manager of potential violations; work with 3PL to correct deficiencies
- Partner with Supply Chain to lead inventory planning based on forecast and historical demand
- Implement best-in-class warehouse management techniques such as kitting, batching and order consolidation
- Coordinate international logistics with 3PL partners, including LiION battery and Research and Development equipment.
What You'll Need
- 3-5 years working in distribution, supply planning, warehouse management and/or international logistics
- Fiercely detail-oriented, especially in regard to shipment documentation, order management and inventory controls
- Experience with customs documentation and import and export processes
- Experience in monitoring and managing vendor performance and on time metrics
- Advanced mathematical skills to analyze and create inventory forecast models
- Ability to handle difficult situations with vendors when orders experience issues impacting timeline, with a focus on minimizing overall delay while maintaining inventory accountability
- Communication. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in a global, fragmented environment
- Highly organized. Excellent organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items.

Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree
- Experience in both international logistics and domestic distribution and fulfillment
- Oracle ERP experience
- Multi-language capability
- Experience with import/export customs requirements
- Experience managing dangerous goods (lithium batteries)
