The Finance Data and Experiences organization (FD&E) builds scaled solutions that enable Microsoft to run its end-to-end business more effectively and efficiently. FD&Ewithin the business and has proficient delivery partnerships across Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering. As aSoftware Engineer II, you will have an opportunity to work with the latest cloud technologies to build industry-leading business management solutions for your customers. In thisrole, you will work with Azure, Synapse, and other cloud-native platforms to help architect and develop a suite of future-state analytics capabilities.


Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of software development experience with big data processing systems or online services.
  • 2+ yearsofexperiencewithany of the following: (SQLServer, Synapse,AzureData Lake, Azure Data Factory, Databricks).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate technical details clearly acrossteams.
  • Excellent analytical skills with systematic and structured approach to software design.
  • Experience building cloud services on Azure is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Finance data and business rhythms a plus.
  • Experience with or exposure to Agile and iterative development processes.
  • Ability to ramp up quickly onnew technologies.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
