This position will oversee a regional team of Mobility Consultants as well as an offshore support team, the Virtual Talent Hub (VTH), ensuring all assignments into and out of the region are managed to the required standards, adhering to Mobility global policy frameworks, and relevant legislation. The position will also work with business leaders and assignees (at all levels) to plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end international mobility assignments into and out of the region. You will work closely with stakeholders across the Region to ensure Mobility provides a consistent exceptional assignee experience, whilst meeting the needs of the business.
Stakeholder management
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure our people have the ability to build their career through access to exceptional mobility experiences
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, by developing strong relationships, providing guidance and coaching on key Mobility initiatives, raising potential challenges, and developing solutions
- Work with the business as well as relevant Core Business Service (CBS) functions such as Finance and Talent to guide and influence the allocation of the necessary financial support needed
- Work with stakeholders to identify how Mobility can support each of the Service Lines (SL) with their workforce capability needs
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in Talent to align Mobility with the overall Talent strategy
Use relevant data to create insights to generate ideas and solutions
Team Management
- Oversee and manage a team of Mobility Consultants, and VTH team members, ensuring Mobility delivers to the required globally consistent standards
- Act as the point of escalation for the team to assist with resolving issues raised
- Allocate SL and case responsibilities across the team, revising as necessary to ensure appropriate level of support is available
- Regularly review the VTH scope of service to ensure the team is effectively supporting the Mobility Consultants. Allocate additional processes and tasks as necessary, providing the necessary training
- Coach, direct and motivate team members to ensure high level, consistent quality service delivery
- Act as counsellor to one or more Mobility Consultants
- Responsible for the development of others by providing feedback, recognizing accomplishments, assigning challenging work and providing opportunities for further development
- Oversee Mobility operations ensuring the team is following global processes and driving implementation through effective change management. Ensure effective performance by identifying additional opportunities for improvement within the Region and obtaining appropriate buy-in
- Monitoring and managing Mobility Consultants KPI’s
- Strategically align with operational stakeholders in the various Regional CBS functions such as Talent and Finance to ensure they are equipped to successfully support Mobility
- Ensure the team is working collaboratively with other regional teams to provide an exceptional assignee experience
- Be accountable for ensuring the team maintains data and information in the Global Mobility Tool (GMT) accurately to enable efficient process and accurate reporting
Service Delivery
- Responsible for the monitoring of all vendor services to ensure key performance indicators are met in your Region/Country as detailed in the Service Level Agreement
- As the senior point of contact for Mobility in a Region, work to resolve mobility related issues raised by Mobility Consultants, stakeholders, and assignees
- Represent your Region in Global Mobility calls and initiatives and actively contribute to discussion, applying your extensive knowledge of local operations and processes to identify opportunities for improvement as well as barriers for success
- Participate in the global Regional Lead workgroup, Mobility networks and other project committees to help identify Mobility policy, processes, and system improvements, or to identify new Mobility solutions of benefit to EY stakeholders and assignees.
- Drive globally consistent implementation of new policies, processes, programs and initiatives within the region, through the facilitation of stakeholder discussions, completion of impact analysis and change management execution
- Monitor and understand changes to employment legislation, immigration, tax, social security, data privacy and the impact to process and service delivery, ensuring effective communication of the changes to your team as well as identifying any associated training needed
- Ensure the effective communication to the Area AS Leader, and where appropriate, also to other global Mobility leaders as well as Regional Talent leadership on all issues or barriers effecting our function
- The management of cases will also be part of the responsibilities of a Regional Lead, as agreed with your Area AS Lead
Skills and attributes for success
You will have the ability to understand a matrixed organization and communicate effectively to connect our people with each other to drive things forward. You will have knowledge and experience in international mobility at a large multinational firm. You are comfortable handling multi-layered issues and have the ability to navigate complex organizational structures effectively, even in times of ambiguity. You are someone with strong organizational skills, who is proficient at prioritizing and managing multiple, time-sensitive initiatives simultaneously.

- Significant knowledge and experience of international mobility, policies, processes and systems
- Strong knowledge of HR principles – recruitment and selection, career management, performance reviews, termination, remuneration, induction/ on-boarding, employee relations etc.
- Ability to develop detailed knowledge of local operational processes to ensure the successful implementation of global initiatives in your region

- Strong level of skill in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint

- Ability to use a Global Mobility Technology tool as well as other relevant HR systems and knowledge tools
- Maintain and use (when appropriate) a network of contacts in other EY practices, SLs or geographies
