Responsibilities will include:
- Working with the Acquired Entity personnel and suppliers around the globe to understand assembly and finished good manufacturing processes and acts as technical expert to ensure repeatable and reproducible quality/reliability during the life of the product
- Partnering with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Quality, R&D, Design Assurance, and Project Management to execute Material Controls deliverables according to program needs, such as purchased material qualification, supplier-driven change assessments, supplier capacity or capability improvement projects, or regulated materials compliance assessments.
- As a technical lead, actively engaging in Global Sourcing category teams, establishing and executing Global Sourcing category objectives
- Investigating and evaluating new and existing technologies for use in future products or to improve quality/reliability of current product
- Proactively conducting risk assessments on sourced materials and building installed capacity and capability at suppliers. Planning and executing service risk mitigation measures to ensure continuity of component supply to BSC and Acquired Entity manufacturing
- Coordinating all phases of supplier engineering work content for projects; communicating emerging issues and recovery action plans with site leadership and stakeholders to gain resources and support
- Identifying and executing material cost reduction projects to meet Plant, Division, and Category goals. Influencing cross-functional team members to support and drive value improvement projects
- In all actions, demonstrating a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience supporting complex mechanical or electrical systems
- Ability to travel 10-20% domestic and international
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop internal and external relationships
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking analytical skills; results-driven
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Self-driven and self-motivated to learn and apply knowledge to produce results
- Experience working in medical device or a similar GMP environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Organized and detail-oriented; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Working knowledge of statistical methods, six sigma methodologies, and problem-solving methodologies
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive project deliverables
- Experience working with suppliers
- Knowledge of Boston Scientific products and processes
Maximum Salary: $ 156900
