Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design
    • OR Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design
    • OR equivalent experience (e.g., experience using design thinking to solve problems).

Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

  • years experienceworking in product or service design
  • Demonstrated sense of interaction design attuned to the fundamentals of user experience, including accessibility and inclusive design
  • Project based visual design skills
  • Effective communication and presentation / storytelling skills, with the ability to energize teams and advocate for your ideas
  • Experience designing in Figma

Responsibilities
  • Contributes to design’s direction for area of accountability and executes design set by others
  • Leads design on a product with moderate to high visibility, risk, and/or complexity
  • Develops other team members as a manager, mentor, onboardingbuddy, coach, and sets the standard for excellent design
  • Holds bar for craft across design, Program Management (PM)and Engineering within a major product area
  • Contributes and partners with other major area leaders to ensure product coherence, erasing organizational boundaries from the experience
  • Embrace and lead across all of culture models (e.g.,demonstratescustomer obsession)
  • Contributes to broader WXC team culture (e.g., mentorship, onboardingbuddy, team morale, employee resource groups/clubs)
  • Understands and acts upon their role in creating a Diversity and Inclusion workplace at Microsoft
  • Balances actively working on the details and finding time to step back at the bigger picture of the product
  • Crafts a story around the WHAT, WHY and HOW for their ideas, whiledemonstratingvia work rather than just words
