The Systems Process Manager, Global Payroll position is crucial for ensuring the effectiveness of our payroll process, focusing on US processes and systems. In this role, you champion the payroll experience through collaboration with partners to ensure quality technical solutions are implemented. You will provide support for the payroll team, recommend and drive solutions, and build partnerships across the organization. You will operate as a system specialist, maintaining and enhancing critical tools, applications, and databases for the payroll team. You will leverage a deep understanding of payroll systems and data flow, along with problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ year university degree, or equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field AND 3+ years experience in payroll operations
    • OR Equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, Engineering or related field AND 5+ years of Payroll Operations or HR/Payroll systems related experience
    • OR Equivalent experience.
  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, Engineering or related field AND 2+ years of HR and/or Payroll systems experience.
  • 3+ year(s) experience in payroll operations in a global, large enterprise-sized (e.g., 10,000+ employee) company.
  • Payroll or Project Management certification.
  • SAP HCM and/or SAP SuccessFactors experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance of tool processes and functionality for the team.
  • Understand and analyze business requirements to clearly document and present to product owners for prioritization.
  • Demonstrate experience and prowess in the design and execution of testing, including User Acceptance Testing and Regression.
  • Ensure successful implementation of changes by driving timelines, actively participating in design review, and timely escalation of issues and risks.
  • Develop and deliver team training on new and enhanced system functionality.
  • Rapidly familiarize with new releases and product functionalities to ensure seamless implementation without disrupting team processes.
  • Plan and execute ad-hoc, quarterly, and year-end test cycles, ensuring changes are properly developed and coordinated with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with key business partners, providing payroll aptitude for issue resolution and projects.
  • Manage special projects by ensuring timelines are met and issues are addressed prior to go live.
  • Provide support for complex tool inquiries, calculations, and data corrections, and transfer knowledge of these processes to the team.
  • Actively engage with internal and external business partners to identify and resolve system issues; drive root cause, corrective, and preventative actions while ensuring timely escalation to management as needed.
  • Understand and maintain Microsoft’s controls and compliance framework regarding tool user access, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
