As a Tax Senior Manager, you will be a part of the US Tax Practice. We help our clients identify and solve complex US corporate tax issues and assist them in successfully aligning all of the different areas of taxation into a benefit-driven strategy. Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, you will participate in and supervise multiple, complex and challenging tax consulting engagements and contribute to the delivery of innovative tax planning ideas for our diverse clients.

Core elements of the role include

  • Demonstrating an understanding of tax concepts and effectively applying tax knowledge to client situations.

  • Developing and delivering innovative tax planning ideas with timely and responsive services and work product that meets or exceeds client expectations.

  • Preparing practical and creative solutions to the clients’ tax situations and arriving at appropriate conclusions.

  • Leading the development of recommendations and implementation plans.

  • Making informed decisions in complex and judgmental areas of US corporate tax.

  • Establishing and maintaining long-term working relationships with clients.

  • Pursuing and sharing knowledge to develop professionally and enhance service delivery.

  • Identifying and selling opportunities for tax planning and other special services.

  • Continually leveraging technology to maximize productivity.

  • Participating in national initiatives.

  • Encouraging communication and effectively supervising team members.

  • Participating in recruiting efforts when necessary.

  • Contributing to a flexible, stable, and team-oriented working culture that fosters on-going learning and development.


To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting; or a graduate degree in tax or law

  • A U.S. CPA designation or be an active member, in good standing of a state bar, or an IRS enrolled agent

  • Over 7 years of related work experience including

    • leading U.S. tax compliance engagements for corporations and partnerships

    • U.S. tax provisions for public and private companies.

    • technical writing and research in a tax context

  • Proven project management and organization skills, and a successful track record of leading and managing teams

  • The ability to communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients

  • Strong business development skills and ability to assist in new business pursuits.

  • The ability to develop long-term client relationships and identify opportunities and risk to improve client service.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Extensive knowledge in a broad range of real estate tax or private equity tax technical and transaction skills, including partnership taxation, REITs taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisition or disposition planning and structuring

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional services environment

  • A high level of motivation and drive along with maturity and a proactive, team-based approach
