Job Description

• The role of Hybrid Cloud Engineer is a specialist role and involve the following roles and responsibilities:
• Work as a Cloud Build & Support engineer for customer requirements
• Ability to understand and deliver workload migration across Public, Private and Hybrid Cloud environments.
• Work on HLDs (High Level Designs) and LLDs (Low Level Designs) proposed for Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure,
• Understand requirements for virtualization & cloud adoption across the entire as-a-service portfolio (IaaS / PaaS / SaaS)
• To troubleshoot Hybrid Cloud Landscape wrt challenges faced by the customer.
• To provide technology build & support with respect to the following technologies:
  • Public Cloud – AWS, Azure, GCP (At least one)
  • Virtualization – VMware
  • Containers – Docker, Kubernetes
  • IaaC – Terraform
  • MS Windows tech. – AD, Windows Servers (2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022)
  • Linux Tech – RedHat, SUSE etc.
  • Monitoring Tools – Splunk, SolarWinds, Others
  • ITSM Tools – ServiceNow
  • Event Correlation Tools – ManageEngine, Moogsoft etc.
  • Patch Management Tools – WSUS, MS System Centre, Satellite etc.
  • DevOps Toos – Ansible, Jenkins etc.
  • Storage & Backup Technologies

Desired Profile

• 4+ years’ experience on Public Cloud technologies – AWS / Azure / GCP (at least one)
• 4+ years’ experience on VMware Virtualization technologies
• 4+ years’ experience on OS Platforms (Windows & Linux) – Build, Configuration, Troubleshooting, AD, Patching and Upgrade)
• Should have understanding of DevOps, Infra as a Code (e.g. Terrform, Cloud formation etc.) and automation concepts
• Should carry experience on Containers and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Should have understanding on configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef etc.)
• Should have understanding on developing / maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Should understand and have experience on hyperconverged infrastructure – Nutanix, HPE etc.
• Should have understanding and have experience on any of the major storage technologies – EMC, NetApp etc.
• Should have understanding and have experience on any of the major backup technologies – Commvault, Veeam, Veritas, Cohesity, Rubrik etc.
• Should have understanding and experience of basic infrastructure management and monitoring tools

B.Tech. / BS in Computer Science

Technical Skills & Certifications

• Any of the relevant OEM Level Certifications from:
• VMware – VCP, VCAP, VMware vRealize, VMware NSX
• Microsoft – Hyper-V, Windows Server OS Platforms
• Linux – RedHat, SUSE and other distributions
• Cloud – Azure / AWS / GCP
• Storage – Dell, HPE, IBM
• Backup – Commvault, Veritas, Cohesity, Rubrik
• DR – SRDF, Zerto, Carbonite, Veritas etc.
