As our Senior Traffic Engineer, you will serve as a project manager or task lead on planning projects and PD&E (Project Development and Environment) studies. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will develop comprehensive traffic solutions and stay up to date with industry standards and best practices in traffic engineering.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and review Interchange Justification Reports (IFR), Interchange Modification Reports (IMR), and Interchange Operational Analysis Reports (IOAR).
- Conduct and evaluate safety improvement studies to enhance traffic safety.
- Perform comprehensive traffic impact studies to assess the effects of new developments on existing transportation systems.
- Prepare and review signal warrant studies to determine the need for traffic signal installations.
- Conduct traffic operation and Level of Service (LOS) analysis to ensure optimal traffic flow and efficiency.
- Review conceptual designs and prepare detailed corridor analysis reports.
- Attend design review meetings and collaborate with clients and consultant partners to ensure project success.
- Provide in-house support to clients, offering expert guidance and technical assistance as needed.
This is a hybrid role. Ideally, you will work from a local Jacobs office or the client’s office on average 2 to 3 days per week. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
