Key Qualifications
- Extensive professional expertise in Traffic/Edge Engineering or Cloud Networking
- Proven expertise with Linux network stack
- Highly skilled with one or more advanced programming language such as C, C++, Java or Go
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Chef, Puppet)
- Experience with automating operations (e.g., software deployments, config changes) at scale
- Understanding of performance analysis and optimizations
- Passionate about enabling internal partner teams
- Full product lifecycle ownership mindset (design → implementation → production)
- Passionate about contributing to open source projects such as Envoy (http://envoyproxy.io/ (http://envoyproxy.io/)) and working across a large organization to meet Apple’s dynamic traffic needs
- Experience with core production engineering best practices (e.g., designing for operability and scalability, adopting SLOs, eliminating toil).

B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,700.00 and $284,900.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
