Commercial Operations (CML Ops) is one of the largest divisions in the Commercial Bank. This team’s scope is horizontal across the bank and as such it supports numerous data support processes. As a Principal Process Manager (Principal Associate) at Capital One, you will lead a high performing team on a journey to improve our data environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to leading a team of associates, identifying process gaps and driving process improvement efforts.
Responsibilities:
Direct accountability for 3-4 Data Support Associates across geographies
Collect, analyze, and report on data to provide transparency to senior leadership and executives
Manage data maintenance requests and issues, while developing strategies to improve data quality and processes
Identify areas of data process risk and develop mitigation/issue resolution strategies
Create and moderate formal data dashboards and artifacts including data visualizations, procedures and process flow diagrams
Partner across Commercial Operations, Technology, Product, and Analysts to discover areas of opportunity for data support needs and occasionally collaborate across teams on larger initiatives
Coach to excellence ensuring satisfaction of job duties following policies, standard and/or procedures within target turnaround times and quality levels; bring awareness to management any constraints or concerns
Resolve complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes; track and escalate breakdowns in the process, asking the right questions and identifying/involving the right stakeholders to correct breakdowns
Foster an environment of trust, collaboration, and belonging, while setting a constantly rising bar for top performance
Empower, develop, coach, and recognize team to reach personal, professional, and team goals
Stay connected and aware of team performance as it relates to people leadership, inclusion and engagement
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
At least 2 years of Process Management experience
At least 1 year of experience within Microsoft Office or Google Suite
At least 1 year of experience in Jira and Confluence
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in Process Management
At least 1 year of experience with data analysis and reporting
At least 1 year of experience with Tableau, Salesforce, or other business reporting and workflow tools
Certification in Lean, Agile or Six Sigma
At least 1 year of experience in a People Leader Role
