Interns Group, Interns Group > Interim Intern
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the production of quality embedded software for Qualcomm products.
Help solve complex issues and debug code.
Provide support on customer issues/requirements to application engineers.
Contribute to project planning and timescales.
Assist in the creation of engineering documentation.
Support the development of Qualcomm intellectual property and submission of patent applications.
Suggest possible new DSP technologies to consider.
Investigate where existing implementations can be improved.
Apply new techniques/ideas to solve problems and optimize existing solutions.
Work with hardware teams to specify requirements of new hardware and test initial implementations.
Person Specification:
Bright, ambitious engineering students with a thirst to learn and develop new skills.
Good degree in Maths, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent.
Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems. Demonstrated innovative and creative thinking capabilities.
Familiarity with at least 2 of these languages: C, Python, Matlab, Perl.
Highly professional, flexible, with the ability to deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
Eager to learn, self-motivated, independent, proactive, and able to work effectively in a group.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of signal processing theory and techniques would be advantageous but not essential
