What You’ll Do
Lead & drive technology design, optimization/implementation, execution, for projects/accounts to accelerate customer outcomes.
Provide/assist customers with integration and implementation of tools, systems, and service assurance for Cisco technologies.
Support presale activities and translate business requirements into solution design.
Build customer simulations in test labs to resolve/validate issues.
Build and deliver customer collateral, portals, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
Drive customer technology transitions, influencing solution architectures and services.
Align with and support company policies and processes and apply relevant tools to efficiently implement the role and support Professional Services’ strategies and goals.
Play the role of an individual contributor.

Role and specific responsibilities
Associate with customers along with appropriate internal and external resources (e.g. Cisco account teams, partners) on the optimization /strategy/deployment of Cisco services and solutions.
Takes ownership of task/project implementation for assigned engagements.
Implement new techniques and methodologies applied in customer delivery and share lessons learned with the broader team.
Builds and reviews project work e.g. Design recommendations, High-Level Design, Low-Level Design, Implementation/ Change Management Plans.
Builds and/or use test environments as required to resolve sophisticated problems & compatibility issues.
Demonstrates software skills and tools to configure, deploy and/or tackle Cisco products and solutions.
Gives in the development of digital intellectual capital (e.g. scripts, digital signatures).
Acts as a focal point for problem resolution for assigned customer engagements. Assures accurate and quick resolution of major customer problems across an appropriate range of technologies.
Who You Are
Typically requires BE/B.Tech/BSC Computer Science or equivalent 8+ plus years of work experience.
Experience in installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting and/or Network solution designing of Cisco routers and switch.
Deep knowledge of at least one Customer Vertical / IT industry
CCNA is must, CCIE certification would be a plus.
Network automation skills (Python/ Ansible/ GoLang/ Splunk) preferred
Routing & Switching:
Should have Knowledge on Routing and switching Technologies like IGP, OSPF, EGP, BGP, STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN
Knowledge of emerging technologies like SDA/ SDWAN preferred
Datacenter
Experience on Data Center, Cloud and Virtualization industry, ACI, Nexus products
Experience with Virtualization (OpenStack / VMware vSphere / Microsoft Hyper V / Red Hat KVM / Linux Containers etc)
Experienced Knowledge on LAN SW Technologies like STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, VXLAN-EVPN.
Knowledge of Cisco switching Platforms like Cat 6500, 6800, 4500, 3850, Nexus 7K, Nexus 6k, Nexus 5k, Nexus 3K and Nexus9k.
Knowledge of UCS products, Python or other programming languages
Leadership / Autonomy
Receives limited supervision. Resolves methods and procedures on new assignments. Provides guidance and mentoring to other engineers. Translates worldwide team goals into own work assignments.
Mentor / develop others. Involved in strategic projects with high visibility. The emphasis is on complexity, active participant/initiator, and leader.
