  • Bachelor’s degree in computer scienceor related fieldorequivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years ofprofessionalexperience in designing, developing, andoperatingmission-criticalcloudservicesatscale.
  • understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
  • Solid grasp ofdistributed systemsfundamentals (scalability, resilience, consistency),data structures/algorithms, andsecure codingpractices.
  • Experience incutting-edgedeployment automation, observability tooling, and live site engineering practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to shiphighquality,welltestedcode and tooperateservices in production.

  • Experience with email infrastructure, messaging systems, or orchestration frameworks.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design and development of distributed systems that orchestrate email delivery, diagnostics, and self-healing capabilities across Microsoft services.
  • Drive architectural decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of the Email Orchestrator platform.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, service owners, and SREs to define and deliver high-impact features.
  • Champion engineering excellence through code reviews, design discussions, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Own service health and live site operations, including deployment automation and telemetry-driven diagnostics.
  • Contribute to long-term vision and roadmap for the Email Orchestrator service, aligning with broader organizational goals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
